He knew she'd never know what it meat to be him, and he doubted he could grasp what she'd lived through. They could argue back and forth, and probably never come to an agreement. But he did promise himself a long time ago to make sure Surge and Kit got a fair shake at life. So far it seemed they were heading in the right direction, they just needed some more time and support.

He wished she'd stop beating herself up about it, she had a shot to make it better. The last thing she wanted was to see her in a cell next to Mimic.

" ... Fine, what ever--- Look you'll get to take him home yourself. We are gonna mop the floor with Mimic, find the guy behind all this and introduce him to spin dash R us... now... "

He paused looking up in the sky to the big Clean Sweep ship and back down to HQ as they had paused for a moment to argue.

" Ya know i still don't get it... Why the grand prix, why all the bells and whistles... and mimic? why get him involved--- and why you and Kit... mmm questions for later! Sewers it is, ugg why is it always sewers with these people? if its not chemical plant zone for eggy its a water way... or the freaking sewers... "

He still didn't like water! even if he could walk through it, the fact he sunk like a rock rather then floated made him leery of all water. He guessed Surge likely sank to but for other reasons. He took a deep breath and motioned for Surge to lead the way!

" Ladies first... and its your plan So if anyone gets to slip on a steaming pile of... well you get that honor! "

Lanolin didn't like the idea of the kid getting hurt over her. But he was right about him being alot tougher then she was. Plus they would be surrounded by water right? that should mean that he had a clear advantage down here. She had no idea what kind of traps Mimic had planned for them but he wouldn't have fled this way if he didn't have a plan. She took a deep breath and nodded her head to Kit agreeing with him as she gripped her Wispeon and followed after him down the hole.

Once they were in the tunnel She tapped the bell on her neck making a soft ringing sound. The vibration echoed down the hall, as dozens of trip wires and red lasers became visible to her via her sonickinesis enhanced by maggie's own power. Many traps, explosives and trip wires covered the halls ahead leading down into the depths of the sewers, Enough to seal the tunnel. Lanolin's eyes narrowed and she gripped Kit's shoulder.

" Careful, looks like he's covered the whole hall in traps--- do you think you could make a mist from the water here? we could see the lasers that way i think...it'll take us forever to get through all of this... he must have set this up awhile ago... "

His instincts screamed at the last second but he wasn't near fast enough to react to Rowan's attack. his head jerking to the side as he was sent skidding along the ground. He Jerked his head up to see Rowan grabbing the boy, though he had zero use for him now and hardly cared about him. His real concern was how to avoid that a second time. He rolled back across the ground and grabbed Tangle's hair, and drug her by it along the ground! True to his word she could still feel the pain of her hair being tugged! as Her curled his arm around her neck and locked the read naked choke in place. He stuck his back to a wall and placed his knife just against her rib cage!

That was her so called uncle right? He had some ability to jump through portals? Wait he remembered a Wisp that didn't like the light right? He jammed the handle of his knife into Tangle's ribs just out of frustration and maybe a sick desire to hurt her! before making his way across the room using her as a shield, Yet he stopped cold as the blue eye gleamed from the hallway and he stopped in his tracks!

" How... Is no way you got past all my traps--- and made it here before the others... impossible..."

Whisper stepped into the light, her fur was singed on the tips and her cape still smoking. She'd used Violet several times to get this far and was in more then her fair share of pain. But she managed to bypass all of Mimic's devious tricks, and using a schematic of the base found the one place she knew he'd use as a fallback point. It was the same room she'd have used.

But the whole process to get here had left her in alot of pain, with Violet looking down at her worried.

" Let---her ---go "

Her mask spoke for her since she couldn't, the robotic tone using simple words to demand Tangle's release. But Now Mimic had two major threats to deal with. Whisper, and Rowan together were obvious major threat but then---she looked like she got fried by something? The wisp probably...

" Careful Whisper... don't want to lose another love do we? why did you admit it to her anyway? You set yourself up for this... now i have the ultimate tool against you... all i have to do is kill her and you'd never forgive yourself. Honestly... its so tempted even if you shot me dead..."

He took another step toward his duffle bag

" still coming here all alone? such a foolish move... and look at you... look her tangle! she can barely stand! she might have found a fast way here... but in doing so she's cooked herself... this is a joke... but hey i'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth..."

The young Feline grunted as he was drug into the shadows and landed someplace else. He wasn't sure what just happened and he was so weak from lack of food and the torture he didn't even fight Rowan. He couldn't really and yet before Rowan could run back into the shadows he grabbed Rownan's arm and looked up at him with this weak pathetic look, yet there was a deep determination in his eyes.

" Its a trap... "

He coughed out with a wheezing tone

" That whole room... he rigged it to flood... the whole lower level is gonna flood... its on a timer... "

His hands dropped from Rowan as he fell back against the wall having no strength left to talk or even lift his head. He wondered ot himself if this was it, if he'd just fall asleep for good this time. Maybe he could save them still... maybe this all wouldn't be for nothing.

Could his death save someone else? he didn't know... but he had to warn them...

Then he felt himself lose consciousness, he couldn't stay away he couldn't fight it anymore.

Dead? no... but he needed medical treatment or he might not make it either.

"Then you don't see the difference between your mistakes and mine. Sure, maybe you've fucked up, though you did it with good intentions. Everything I've ever done since Starline was selfish and I didn't care who I hurt as long as I got what I want. If you really think there's no difference between the mistakes we've made then you're wrong. Besides, a guy like you would just carry on memories or no memories." Surge doubt Sonic had any bad intentions in his body.

Surge would take a deep breath to calm herself down. "I'm not here to argue, though you can't justify everything I've done. Maybe some things, though not everything. I know I need to pay for what I've done, though like I told Whisper I'm getting Kit home. That said, I don't know how things are going to turn out and I'm sure a lot of people are going to react differently. I may have my issue's with you in general, though I know you'll always hold up your end. If I can't get him home, then you can do it." Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, though Mimic was dangerous.

Surge then took notice to see that everything was seemed to be on read alert as they got closer to the base. "Welp, hope you're ready to make some more bad decisions because I ain't stopping to talk shit out. I'd ask Kit what's going on, though I don't got my pager with me." The tenrec guess she should've take his advice for an extra one, though too late now. "That said, maybe we should go in through the sewer. Knowing Mimic he'll try to get out that way."

Kitsunami was quick to send the message after being told to do so. "Sent, now I'll take point. Before you object I'm thinking of it logically. My body isn't as strong as Surge's, though is still tougher than the average person. Meaning if there are any traps I have a better chance at shaking off any damage. Not to mention I have an advantage at dodging." The fennec wasn't trying to undermine Lanolin, though he was more equipped to take point.

"Though I suggest we take it slow. I know he has Tangle, though from what I've heard he's driven to try and make Whisper suffer. Most likely he'll want to do everything he can to only hurt Tangle in front of Whisper." In Kitsunami's mind this may be what does him in. Mimic seemed nearly obsessed with getting revenge on Whisper by this point.

Tangle didn't get much more chance to struggle as she felt the needle pierce her arm and felt the toxin being pushed in. Gaia it hurt, though what's worse is she already felt it starting to kick in. Her body feeling stiff making it hard to move or struggle. Though the lemur was far more concerned with the actual Duo right next to her. If that was his name. How long had he been here?

Rowan had caught the edge of the platform, only looking down as the screwdriver he had on his tool belt fell down and disappeared into the darkness which caused the whole void to shake. "Okay, now I'm even more concerned of falling in." He pulled himself up and was ready to just jump in and grab Tangle, though then saw two people.

"Shit, I can only grab one while exposing the Wisp ability." Rowan knew his niece was in far more danger, though also knew she wouldn't be happy if she saved her over someone else. The red furred lemur took a deep breath before jumping out, kicking Mimic in the head before running over to the cat and picked him up. "I'll be back for you." He swiftly left before he got attacked by jumping into Tangle's shadow.

Ever since Technus acted on his feelings of mischievousness all of Casper High, the A-listers and faculty included have been giving Tucker a wide berth. No one, not even Danny and Sam has ever seen him on the warpath like this and quite frankly it scares them.

Tucker on the other hand doesn't understand why everyone's acting so apprehensive around him. It's not like threatening to erase a ghost from existence is anything new. The Fentons and Valerie do it all the time.

But whatever. None of this is of any importance to him. The only things that matter right now is getting past Titans East tower's security and deleting those love letters before they're opened and read, then keeping his promise to take Technus' afterlife for daring to expose his most embarrassing secret.

Unfortunately, he's too late in completing the first objective. Not only is every last one of those emails now marked as read, the object of his affections is in the process of typing out a response.

Okay. This is fine. This is perfectly fine. He can easily fix this by living out the rest of his life off the grid. But first, he has a technology obsessed ghost to end.

It was a lot to wade through, but Bumblebee managed to get through all her not so secret admirer's love letters. Though rather cringeworthy, especially that attached audio with that horrific excuse of a singing voice, it was all strangely charming and kinda sweet as well. Bumblebee is honestly touched. So much to the point that she'd like to meet this Tucker Foley and get to know him better. She's already sent forth a reply requesting a time and place.

Whether you planned it or not, how do you think Kazemon Beetlemon move would be like combined?

Idk if I plan it. I’m pretty fond of Blitzmon and Blizzardmon’s combined move giving our Thor an axe. Okay, I wish Blitzmon himself had a hammer, in an evolution would be fine too (thinking ~~~~), but, you know, it’s still the coolest move out of them all because it makes sense on any level I can take in consideration.

Whatever, if Blitzmon and Fairymon combined their moves, I would love a mix between Blitzmon and Jetsilphymon because Jet is a semicyborg and represents a modern way to exploit wind’s power. Since the Wind Factory is always in my mind, will never leave it, I would like to see electric energy generated from these two’s marriage collaboration: Blitzmon’s lightnings giving even more speed to Jet, producing electric energy from the super fast spins of her pinwheel. I’d……..Love it AHHAHAHH.

I want Jet to show my brain how cool she is in her potential. A month ago, I also joked about her piloting either Bolgmon or Rhino and turning into some F1 race queen (how funny I am, please, kill me), but in the skies, because she does give me those vibes. Jet’s design is very sportive, her trousers have got somewhat reminding me of a tracksuit’s pants.

Edit: ages ago I sketched this shitty Jet with the idea of turning her into a full cyborg, a technological being who trades Fairymon’s glass visor with a technologically advanced one working as some plane radar to orientate her through her speedy dashes. Blitzmon loves her so much. Edit 2: better resolution, she sucks, but I might use this concept in the future.

Am I the only one who laments Sam was often introduced having a wide array of talents and interests yet they never really became part of her character, only remaining a one episode thing or a quick gag?

Because everything about Sam's scenes implies she's incredibly layered.

The things laying around her room include countless vinyls, a keyboard, and a portable drum kit. All of which implies she has a deep interest, and maybe even talent, in music. Something Pirate Radio later confirmed when it turned out she's a knowledgeable and phenomenal DJ.

Then, there's the fact that she's a skilled gamer. Yeah, so are Danny and Tucker, but you kinda pick up on it on your own thanks to their characterisation of "wants to be a normal teenaged boy" and "techno geek", respectively. Between the show being from the 2000s and Sam's focus on the occult and environmentalism, you don't really see it coming that she's a gamer. Especially one so good she routinely kicks Danny and Tucker's asses.

I mentioned this before, but I especially hate how her talent for DIY clothing was just used as a quick gag. The eye for design you have got to have to turn a frilly pink dress into something a goth would wear is nothing sort of astounding. And knowing Sam and her usual disdain for money and mass produced content, you can't tell me she wouldn't be the type to alter all her clothes into something that fits her style.

Lucky in Love also introduced her love for goth poetry, something Beauty Mark implied she actually partakes in given her use of a haiku to warn Danny about Dora. And yet, it is rarely brought up. Though it is true this is the one interest the Phandom never forgets about and often adds to their fanfics and headcanons.

And finally, there's her love for plants. How cool is it that she takes care of her own greenhouse all by herself? That implies extensive knowledge on botany. But, again, unless it is to point out her vegetarianism or environmentalist ways, the only other time besides Urban Jungle where it was relevant was in Claw of the Wild, when she used some berries to treat Wulf's wounds.

To be fair, this issue isn't exclusive to Sam. Between teenage drama and ghost fighting, Danny's interests aren't explored or expanded upon all that much beyond "regular teenage boy stuff". Even so, they do get enough focus or leave a strong enough of an impression for them to become common knowledge among the Phandom. I mean, everybody treats Danny wanting to be an astronaut as an essential part of his character (and it kinda is), yet it was only brought up in three episodes in the whole show.

I guess, what I'm trying to say is that the show and Phans alike tend to sleep on the fact that Sam is surprisingly multitalented.

Ra's al Ghul believed that there were no former members of the League of Assassins. Maddie understood that perfectly, but it didn’t make her any more prepared when she saw her father.

"Hey, are you my favorite sweet grandpa?" Danny, who noticed his mother freezing in fear after opening the door, immediately stood in front of her. "Want to hug?"

"It was you again! I know for sure." The head of the league hissed in anger. ''Get out!"

"But this is my house." Her son shrugged his shoulders and smiled in a strange snide way. "Do you want me to show you my room or do you want me to chew a cookie for you? You look totally senile. Even your feet can’t hold you."

Ra's Al Ghul was shaking with rage. "Don’t play dumb, I know you’ve been tinkering with water in my Lazarus pits." "They are part of the nature reserve of the Ghost Zone." Danny was rightly outraged. "Write your name on them even a hundred times, they will not be yours."

"But you’ll get a fine for vandalism. You’re lucky I didn’t report you to the authorities." Danny threatens grandpa with his finger. "But it’s only because we’re family, you know?" Ra's frowns but stops arguing. "Would you like a cup of tea?" Danny’s offering a truce. Ra's sighs. "Well, I wouldn't say no."

"Do you like your drink?" Danny asks, pouring grandpa more green tea with milk. "Disgusting." The head of the League of Assassins answers sincerely. "Good." Danny’s smiling like a gremlin. "Hey, do you want to see an album with photos of baby Danny, Ra's?" asks Jack, who doesn’t notice the tension around. "No." Maddie was sitting there with her eye twitching for the last 40 minutes. "I would like to see a family photo album, Madeline." Ra's, who saw an opportunity to embarrass his insolent grandson, did not want to lose it.

The guard at the Demon's Head got nervous, but Ra’s hand stopped him. "I did not agree."Grandpa moved one of the swords to Danny’s neck.

Fenton just brushed it off with a frown. "Come on, tell everyone a little bit about your plans for immortality and world domination. Maybe I’ll be interested in being your heir then. I promise to listen carefully!"

"Well, I’m totally fine with it." Danny, who had noticed that after a fascinating lecture about the most effective tortures Dash was sitting two desks further away from him, showed his grandfather fist with the thumb up.

What idiot from the school board took his crazy grandfather’s advice about organizing extra fitness classes? Next to him Wes fell to the ground. "Do it, Phantom. Avenge us." The boy wheezed at the last breath. "No distractions, five more laps!" Ra's stood on the field with the hand fan. "This bastar-r-rd." Danny roared furiously. "What? My favorite grandson wants to run another ten? Well, I can’t say no, right, coach?" Demon's Head yelled.

Remember that one post where a specific word from the title of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was highlighted when with specific iterations based on the most prominent part of that iteration's turtles?

Like Ninja was highlighted with screencap of TMNT 2003 iteration, Teenage was highlighted with Rise iteration, Mutant with Bayverse and Turtles with the 1987 series.

And then the entire title was bolded with the 2012 series. I simply love that because whoever added this was so right.

Cuz like, the 2k3 turtles are the most ninjas of all the animated turtles, their show's storylines revolve around the ninja part and though they have other qualities of the TMNT title, this is way more present in them than the rest of it. Also, the continuous white eyes amplify it even more. And the Bayverse turtles are the most like mutants, it's glaringly obvious and the first thing to be noticed. Like the first impression of them is mutant. Then Rise turtles are so blended in with everyday NYC public that the mutant part is basically nonexistent in that verse, and consequently also the turtle part. And they are many things but ninjas? Not really their thing. These boys aren't what one would call ninjas when first seen. But what they are and embody most is being teenagers. They act like teenagers, everything they do and say screams teenager. I haven't yet watched the 1987 series but I can understand why turtles is their more prominent characteristic within the title. I mean, that verse's antagonists have probably referred to them as turtles more than any other iteration's villains.

But the 2012 boys, gosh. Teenagers to the core, Ninjas to the core, visibly enhanced capabilities due to being Mutants throughout as well as deliberate focus on the consequences of mutations which aren't as deeply shown in other iterations as this one. And finally, numerous turtle-like traits shown throughout the series that are often important to tiny plot points, practically affirming them to be Turtles.

Teenage : Their actions, thoughts, personality, way to do things, way to interact with people and their surroundings, is so purely teenage that even though they get serious during serious moments, it doesn't take away the teenage part of them. For comparison we got the 2k3 & 2k7 turtles as well as all the comic iterations which stay serious most of the time and show their teenage sides occasionally. But next to that, the 12 boys tend to goof off a lot often. Even in the most serious episodes, they'll show a bit of the teenager in them, Leo will quote Space Heroes and geek out about looking cool, Mikey will tremendously annoy whoever he's battling, Raph would enjoy the whole thing and sass around, Donnie will switch back and forth between taunting his opponents and allies alike and techno-babbling everything and trying to impress April. Not to mention their reactions to whatever happens around them, the silly cartoon and anime emotions, the post victory cheers and silly contests. They live like teenagers. Like, even in season 5, we've seen Leo acting his age plenty of times while he has the responsibility of his entire family on his shoulders. And his brothers are always acting their age wherever they can.

Mutant : As I mentioned earlier on, the 2012 boys show certain traits that shed spotlight to the mutant part of them. That being their enhanced capabilities in several moments throughout the series. To name a few, Mikey can carry any one of his brothers without displaying the slightest amount of strain (remember that moment in I Think his name is Baxter Stockman episode where Donnie jumped on his shoulder while Mikey was skating & focusing on the T-pod and the kid didn't even blink), Leo has held back Kraang Prime (did you see how massive that thing was? It was a giant), they can give each other a boost that looks normal but has launched the other about two stories high, their enhanced endurance has made sure they've survived things which would've otherwise killed or tremendously injured anyone else, all four of them have canonically died before, the G forces after jumping from outer atmosphere they've survived gosh, nobody should be alive at that g force guys. Quick healing is another thing I've noticed.

There's been moments they've gotten badly injured but healed way faster than someone should. That same hadn't been applied to non-mutants. While it could be explained by cartoon logic, I like this theory better. So basically, being Mutants has canonically given the boys enhanced strength, stamina, endurance etc.

Ninja : Remember what I said about the 2k3 boys having not only the skills but also the plot points revolving around them being ninjas. Well, the 2k12 series also has plot points revolving around them being ninjas. Like, I swear this is like the one series next to 2k3 which highlights and most extensively makes use of the ninja stealth these boys possess and it is needed in their missions quite often too. Moreover, Shredder wouldn't even be an important antagonist if it weren't for the news of the shuriken with the emblem of the Hamato Clan. That's not all, these boys also have the skills.

Character Development within team dynamics aside, Splinter relaying new lessons relevant to ninjutsu or life advice has been a norm throughout the series and their training sessions are often present in most episodes. They have experience as ninjas and they need those skills just the same, not only to be victorious but also to survive any time they are topside because unlike '87 & Rise, they need to remain hidden from the city public. They are really good at this part of them and they show it in every single episode. And by season 5, they are swifter than the wind, more hidden than shadows, with nictitating membrane aka white eyes sliding over every time they enter serious battle mode adding to the aesthetic. They are Ninjas, to the core.

Turtles : And finally, the last part of the title. I ask everyone to compare the turtle-like traits of the 2012 boys with every other iteration. They have the most of them out of any. Hear me out, out of all the other TMNT iterations, these are the ones who make most use, instinctual too, to get into their shells.

While some others have done it, it isn't quite as common nor quite as relevant with tiny moments where doing so has saved the boys' lives. There's also their nictitating membrane. Unlike 2k3 turtles who have constant white eyes and unlike the other TMNT series where white eyes are rare, the 2012 have the ability to pull over their nictitating membranes on choice. They can do it any time but they don't keep it all the time. They use it when they are swimming underwater as turtles would, they use it when they are in ninja stealth mode, when they get angry or are about to throw down. And while they look epic every time they do that because it isn't constant, it also serves to show their turtle traits. They use their turtle sides just as easily as Splinter does with his rat side, casually and easily. Another point is that they can hold their breath for a long time. During the episode, It Came from the Depths, they held their breaths for a long time (Mikey even turned it into a competition), they also did it again during the TCRI episode. They've also shown themselves to be pretty good swimmers. Moreover, their shells are resistant to hits, plastron less so. Oh, and one of my favorite examples for this part of them is the Lone Rat and Cubs episode. When the sewers flooded and Splinter passed out, the little guys were alright, the water didn't harm them, they didn't even run out of breath. And most of all, they carefully carried their father and swam all the way to a pretty good place of shelter, as babies. They were babies and they saved their Dad and brought him home. And they instinctively knew where to find an empty open and safe space, like animals do. Oh and their big black eyes too. Also, every time I have read TMNT fics of other turtles, their display of a few turtle traits that are common with 2012 feels slightly jarring, they feel less canon-y and more fandom-y. But when I read the same thing in fics featuring 2012 boys, it feels normal, because it's so common and in-character for them in canon. Being Turtles is a part of them and they embrace it beautifully.

I know there are many fans (iykyk) who don't like the 2012 series. But that becomes completely irrelevant if you bother to actually watch the series and go into depths of what it shows. TMNT 12 is the best TMNT series to me for countless reasons. And among them is the fact that the 12 boys embody every single part of their main title fully through their personalities instead of it just being called that due to what they are and not who they are.

All that is to say, I miss my favorite silly boys
